Bakersfield, CA- On November 12th AEG Bakersfield, Aramark, the Bakersfield Condors, and Keep Bakersfield Beautiful will host Bakersfield Recycles Day, joining thousands of local organizers holding recycling events across the country to celebrate America Recycles Day, the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
Residents of Bakersfield and greater Kern County are encouraged to drop off the following recyclable materials to the South Parking Lot of Rabobank Arena on the 14th from 8 AM to 1 PM:
Electronic items (E-waste)
Large and small household items, including mattresses
Passenger vehicle tires (Kern County residents only – limit 4)
Used motor oil filters (Kern County residents only)
Used clothing, shoes, and linens
Surplus construction materials
Paper shredding (limit 2 file size boxes)
Batteries and other recyclable material
“America Recycles Day provides a key moment in time to regain momentum for recycling in America, and to help make recycling a daily social norm across the country,” said Brenda Pulley, senior vice president, recycling, Keep America Beautiful. “Take the “I Will Recycle” Pledge and invite your friends, family and neighbors to do the same.
