NOR’s Funbook for Spring 2025 Now Available
BAKERSFIELD, CA – North of the River Recreation & Park District (NOR) is excited to announce a versatile lineup of classes, camps, sports, and seasonal activities for the community this Spring! Pick up a copy of NOR’s Spring 2025 Funbook at one of our community centers or view online at NORfun.org to discover all the recreational opportunities happening this season.
Here’s a preview of what’s in store this Spring:
Sports
• eSports Leagues: Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a casual player, join us for 6-week eSports Leagues to showcase your skills, meet fellow gamers, and compete! Upcoming seasons for Fortnite and Rocket League include age brackets for elementary players, teens, and adults.
• 3v3 Madness: Basketball Tournament: High schoolers are invited to showcase their skills in our vibrant, high-energy Basketball Tournament on April 5 at Fruitvale-Norris Park.
• Indoor Youth & Adult Pickleball Classes: Serve up excitement! Youth and Adult Pickleball Classes for all skill levels are happening at the Riverview Community Center, offering a fun way to stay active and enjoy friendly competition.
Seniors
• SAC Rack: Calling all fashion philanthropists! Drop off your gently used clothing from April 14 – 18 at the Rasmussen Senior Center and help us give back to the community.
• Karaoke Fun: Belt out your favorite songs with friends! Join us for Karaoke every Monday and Thursday at 12:15pm at the Rasmussen Senior Center.
Seasonal
• Daddy Daughter Dance: Lights, camera, dance! Join us for a dazzling Hollywood-inspired night at the RiverLakes Ranch Community Center on February 28. Tickets are on sale now!
• Easter Egg Hunt: Double the fun this year with our annual Easter Egg Hunt at TWO locations! The hunt begins at 10am sharp on April 12 at Riverview Park and April 19 at Emerald Cove Park.
• Spring Camps: Keep the kids busy and engaged during Spring Break with our Spring Break Camp at Greenacres Community Center and Spring STEAM Camp at Riverview Community Center. Both camps run April 14 – 18, 7:30am – 6pm.
• Celebrating 70 Years of NOR: Join us in celebrating 70 incredible years! Share your favorite memories, photos, and moments on social media with #JointheFun.
